that was fast

Here's the deal y'all, I'm sitting at my desk looking at a mountain of annual evaluations that must be finished before Friday. My boss keeps peering into my office to see if the moutain has somehow shown signs of diminishing. Needless to say, I'm feeling rushed...which means that my thoughts about last night's AI will be rushed as well.

But I guess that's the way it should be given the fact that the show last night felt rushed. I mean, we meandered through how many cities; had to listen ad nauseam to drivel and then, we arrive in Hollyweird for Hell Week (or American Idol Boot Camp) when all of the sudden it was like those damn Mazda commercials...you know the ones...zoom, zoom, zoom! Blech!

As we finished up Valentine's gifts for Ms. Hernandez's 3rd grade class (except for three because they are mean), I managed to give myself a sugar high. Unfortunately it didn't help turn my American Idol into a viewing pleasure. It flew by so quick I didn't have a chance to care. And since I didn't care, despite the tears somebody (not me mind you...some other adult in my house...go figure) was shedding because some gay boy's mom doesn't love him (until he made it to Hollywood), the show contained nothing worth writing about.

And so, I'm gonna wrap this up too. We're down to 40 and after tonight we'll be down to the final 24. Wonder if tonight will go by like last night. Too bad the early auditions didn't!

I would like to give one small shout-out to Robyn Truth - you may have got cut last night faster n' Buttermilk Pie at my house - but damn, the consolation prize was pretty sweet. I mean, I've now watched you three times grovin with Justin and TI - let's just say you're a lucky girl!!! One little note - apparently the 8 year old in my oh so conservative house (hahahahaha....) feels that your dress was a little bit short. Not sayin' I agree cuz let's get real, if I had Justin on one side and TI on the other, I'd a had my dress over my head. But that's just me.

Now...back to evals...
